Fourth Annual Anba Dlo Water Symposium, Oct. 17th, New Orleans Healing Center

The Fourth Annual Water Symposium will update progress on efforts to protect Louisiana's vanishing coast from scientists, State officials, environmentalist, educators, and financiers.  Also, featured will be entrepreneurs working on coastal restoration and green infrastructure.  Finally, there will be a unique discussion of ways to communicate large environmental themes and water issues to a board and diverse public, given our different learnings styles.  The event will start off at 10 am with walking tour where speakers will provide perspectives on the River and its role in shaping the City. 
 
The Fourth Annual Anba  Dlo Water Symposium from Noon to 4 pm on October 17, 2015, 2372 St. Claude Avenue at Café Istanbul in the New Orleans Healing Center. The event will be moderated by Travers Mackel and lunch will be served. The walking tour will commence at 10:00 am in the New Orleans Healing Center parking lot.
 
WATER WALK AND LEARN-10:00am to Noon: 
The Greater New Orleans Collaborative will be hosting a Walk and Learn with a focus on the river and Earth Lab, pulling together speakers who can provide different perspectives on the river and its role in shaping the city as we know it as well as how our relationship to the river has changed over time.
 
Start and/or end at the Healing Center/Earth Lab, which is adjacent to the parking lot on the N. Rampart side of the New Orleans Healing Center, with folks from Groundwork joining and talking about detention and retention and infiltration at a site scale.
